Gyushige USA LLC was established in Seattle, Washington, in April 2019 as a subsidiary for the overseas expansion of the Japanese yakiniku chain Gyushige.

Gyushige, which opened its first location in Fuchu, Tokyo, in 1988, is a popular yakiniku chain with over 100 locations across Japan*. As a brand that allows customers to enjoy authentic yakiniku at reasonable prices, it has garnered support from a wide range of customers. Since its founding, the company has relentlessly refined its commitment to carefully selected meats, secret house sauces, and the yakiniku culture built by skilled chef, growing into a yakiniku restaurant that can be enjoyed casually by everyone from families to younger generations.

Gyushige USA LLC plays the role of expanding and adapting the yakiniku culture of enjoying high-quality wagyu at an affordable price in the U.S. market.

Replicate Authentic
Japanese-Style Yakiniku as It Is

Gyushige can offer authentic Japanese-style yakiniku, refined over 30 years in Japan, just as it is. The meat used is limited to wagyu, American wagyu, and USDA Prime beef, carefully selected from reliable meat suppliers. Each cut is sliced with precision and care to the appropriate thickness and served with a traditional sauce that maximizes the meat’s inherent flavor.

This attention to detail in Japanese-style cooking and operations is difficult for local yakiniku restaurants in the United States to replicate. The depth of flavor and quality are highly acclaimed. A significant strength of the brand is the ability to offer a unique yakiniku experience that clearly differentiates it from other establishments.

Offering Variety with Appetizers, Sushi, Sashimi,
and Other Non-yakiniku Dishes

In addition to its signature authentic yakiniku, Gyushige can offer a wide variety of Japanese dishes that are also highly popular in the U.S. market. The appetizer menu offers perfect pairings with yakiniku, featuring classic items such as kimchi, namul, and salads, as well as light dishes that can be enjoyed as snacks. Furthermore, because Gyushige can offer Japanese dishes such as sushi and sashimi that highlight freshness, it can also meet customer demand for visits beyond those focused on yakiniku. In particular, sashimi and sushi are often associated with being “healthy” and “high quality,” making them popular categories among a wide range of American consumers.

The franchise offers both the satisfaction of yakiniku and the delicacy of Japanese cuisine, increasing dining options and becoming a go-to choice for families even when preferences are divided between yakiniku and sushi. The diverse menu composition not only helps maximize revenue but is also highly effective in differentiating the brand from competitors.

As illustrated above, it is essential to evaluate potential profitability based on cuisine characteristics and to ensure that operations are manageable. This website details the culinary features and support structures provided by each franchise brand. Both the Food and the Experience Became Unforgettable Memories

The service here is magical and the food and experience is a great time. Will come back over and over. Thank you manager Brian and Ryan for a great time.

It Wasn’t Cheap,
but It Was Definitely Worth
the Price for the Taste

Gyushige isn’t cheap, but it’s worth every penny. This was my first time visiting a Japanese yakiniku restaurant, and our server, Joe, guided us very carefully. He clearly explained popular items and the characteristics of each cut, which helped us make better choices, and everything was delicious.

We chose the wagyu cubes in particular based on advice that thinner cuts wouldn’t let us fully enjoy the flavor, and it was definitely the right decision. Everything we ordered, including the top plate and filet mignon, was very satisfying, and even the mochi for dessert was delicious.

Peace of Mind
with Expert Grilling Support

I hadn’t eaten out much over the past year, so I visited Gyushige because I really wanted to enjoy something truly delicious again. I sometimes enjoy A5 wagyu at home, but since it arrives frozen, it can be a bit hard to handle. By contrast, Gyushige’s A5 wagyu comes pre-sliced to about 3/8 of an inch, and when grilled at the table, it turns out beautifully browned on the outside while staying medium rare inside.

The staff carefully grilled the wagyu for us, then cut it into bite-sized pieces and served it. We also asked them to keep the grill on, so we could lightly reheat the meat to our liking and enjoy it at its best. The sauces and salts served alongside the meat also brought out its natural flavors.
